Welcome to BYEWT LONDON. We create premium home scents that bring the happy feeling of smelling good into everyday life, blending British style with Arab scent traditions. These Terms & Conditions explain how you may use our website and how your purchases from us work. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. About Us
This website is operated by Omar Abouzaid, a sole trader trading as BYEWT LONDON ("we", "us", "our"), of 2 Shottsford, 100 Talbot Road, London W2 5LG.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Our Products
We take care to describe and photograph our products accurately. Please note that colours may vary slightly depending on your screen, and scents are a personal experience: how a fragrance is perceived can differ from person to person.
As our products are handcrafted or made in small batches, minor variations in appearance (such as the surface of a candle) are natural and are not considered defects.
3. Orders and Contract
• Placing an order is an offer to buy from us. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation email.
• We may decline or cancel an order if a product is unavailable, if there has been a pricing or description error, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel after you have paid, we will refund you in full.
• You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.
4. Prices and Payment
• All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£). Any delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay.
• Payment is taken at the time of order. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.
• Payments are processed securely by our payment providers. We do not store your full card details.
• Prices and promotions may change at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
5. Delivery
• We deliver to the destinations listed at checkout. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and are a guide, not a guarantee.
• Orders are usually dispatched within 3-5 working days.
• Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave us. Please check your order on arrival, and let us know within 7 days if anything has arrived damaged or incorrect.
• For international orders, you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or fees charged by your country.

6. Your Right to Cancel and Returns
Change of mind. If you are a consumer in the UK, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive your goods. To cancel, email us at Byewtlondon@gmail.com with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.
Once you have told us you are cancelling, please return the goods to us within 14 days. Unless the goods are faulty, you are responsible for the cost of return postage.
If you are outside the UK, you may have additional rights under your local consumer laws.
Condition of returns. Items should be returned unused, unopened and in their original packaging. For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns of candles or diffusers that have been lit, opened or used. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back, using the original payment method, including standard delivery charges.
Faulty or damaged goods. If your item arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us with your order number and a photo. We will offer a replacement or refund, and cover the return cost. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Personalised or made-to-order items are excluded from the right to cancel, unless faulty.

7. Product Safety
Our candles and diffusers are made with care, but fragrance products must be used responsibly. Please follow the instructions on the label and packaging.
Candles:
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep away from children, pets, draughts and flammable materials.
• Burn on a heat-resistant, stable surface.
• Trim the wick to about 5mm before each burn, and do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
• Stop using the candle when 1cm of wax remains.
Reed diffusers:
• Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not ingest.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
• Keep away from polished, painted or delicate surfaces, as the oil may cause damage.
If you have allergies or sensitivities, please check the ingredients list for each product before use.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including the BYEWT LONDON name, logo, product designs, text, photography and graphics, belongs to us or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.
You may view and print pages for your own personal use, but you may not copy, reproduce, distribute or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use this website in any way that is unlawful, harmful or fraudulent; to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems; or to introduce viruses or other harmful material.
10. Reviews and Submissions
If you submit a review, comment or other content, you confirm that it is honest and lawful. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use it on our website and marketing. We may remove any content we consider inappropriate.
11. Privacy
We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law, including the UK GDPR.
12. Our Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for business losses (as we sell to consumers only), or for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as strikes, severe weather, or carrier disruption.
Our total liability to you for any order will not exceed the price you paid for that order.
13. Links to Other Websites
Our website may link to third-party sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
15. Complaints
We would always like the chance to put things right. Please contact us at Byewtlondon@gmail.com and we will aim to respond within 3 working days.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
